In this guide I'll be giving you the rundown on your upcoming boudoir session from what to expect during the session, clothing and location ideas and even a FAQ section where you can see answers to some of people's most common questions leading into a Boudoir session. Plus, you'll see some amazing images and incredible women who have gone before to step into their truth, own their unique beauty and let their beautiful inside radiate outwards to create incredible images.

Preparing for your shoot

"Getting psyched up to do a boudoir photo shoot as a single, plus-size woman isn’t easy to do! I’m forty, unattached, and have no one to look sexy for in theory. But, the past few years I have been working on loving myself. I had heard through the grapevine from someone who had done a shoot that it was empowering, and that you would leave feeling beautiful. Luckily, I won a photo session from Kim a few months ago, and I decided it was go-time!

Kim has a way to make you feel completely at ease. She is fabulous at giving you directions. I needed that - when I am in front of a camera, my natural reaction is to smile. But Kim is getting you out of your comfort zone, and for me, that’s not grinning from ear to ear.
The best part of the session is when she gets that first perfect shot, and then flips the camera around and shows you. “Holy Shit!” You see yourself in a completely different light, and from there the confidence builds.

Owning and loving all of yourself is sometimes a difficult task. But when I was flipping through the gallery after Kim had sent it to me, not once did I think to myself, “oh I really don’t like my tummy rolls” or “that is such an unflattering angle.” All I could think was, “Damn! I look awesome.”

So I went out on a whim and booked a session with Kim! I'm so glad I stepped out of my comfort zone and took the plunge. Of course I can relate with many other woman as to why I was hesitant to book. I'm a wife, mom of 3 and my body has physical proof of that! From the moment I walked through the door both Kim and Megan made me feel comfortable. I have to give Megan props as she did a fantastic job on my make up! From the first shot to the last one I felt at ease with Kim. We had many laughs as I thought this so isn't me but it was so much fun. As a result of Kim's talent I fell in love with the pictures!!! When I booked i was wondering how I could pick out 12 prints and here I ended up ordering 20. Go figure For anyone who is on the fence to book a session like this just go for it! I chose to do this session for my husband for our 10th anniversary but hell I think every woman should do a session like this for herself!!! It may just reveal some unexpected confidence.
